ROUNDTABLE / EXHIBITION

New York Institute of Technology

Abstract

Mobilizing the design research agendas specific to the two new Master of Science programs to be launched by the School of Architecture and Design at NYIT in September 2020, this roundtable event and group exhibition brings together experimental practitioners working at the frontiers of Computational Technologies, and Health and Design.

COMPUTATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES
A next generation of experimental designers is focused on discovering possible disciplinary futures, through innovations in computational design, algorithms and interfaces, robotic systems and materiality.

HEALTH & DESIGN
A heightened consciousness is emerging regarding the deep influence of the material and environmental qualities of the built environment upon the physical and spiritual welfare of people and society as a whole.
