Anna Ivanchenko

M.Sc. Researcher

Anna Ivanchenko is an architect and a graduate student at the MTRL lab, researching deployable structures that are printed in 4D printing technology.

Anna has a B.arch degree from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and has been an active architect for the past eight years. She has worked on various architectural projects, including high-rise towers, commercial centers, and residential buildings. The experience in architecture brought her to question the methods by which building molds are made and to research alternative techniques. Anna’s research centers on 4D printing deployable structures. It focuses on developing joints and patterns based on origami techniques, that could be printed from traditional building materials and share the qualities that 4D-printed smart polymer deployable structures have.
