Hadar Ben Avraham

Architect, Instructor, M.Sc.

Hadar Ben Avraham, MTRL’s alumnus since 2021, a licensed Architect in Israel and Co-founder of HA Studio Architecture, graduated with honors, earning both B.Arch (Cum laude) and M.Sc. (Summa cum laude) degrees from the Technion IIT. She has been an adjunct teacher of architecture and design studios at the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning at Technion IIT since 2014.

Hadar’s research is centered on the dynamic intersection of Augmented Reality (AR) and architecture, addressing contemporary trends in the field. Her research project, titled “n-Visions – Towards a New Instrument of Perception in Architecture,” seamlessly integrates augmented reality gaming technology, physical computing-based sensors, and architectural visualization. This innovative approach aims to enhance the design process across its various phases.

The core of Hadar’s investigation delves into establishing a real-time communication channel between physical and virtual realities. By intertwining augmented reality with architectural environments, her work redefines the perception of existing spaces through their informational conditions. This research facilitates active exploration of the environment in real-time and within context, promoting a design approach inherently associated with sustainable practices.
