Sivan Shafrir is an undergraduate student at the Faculty of Architecture at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology and a research assistant at MTRL. He has previously participated in the 2023 Azrieli Global studio instructed by Prof. Aaron Sprecher, as well as the Transforming Grounds course instructed by Ofer Asaf. Sivan’s interests in the field of architecture include parametric design, public architecture, autonomous “living” architecture, large-scale 3D-printing, and urban design.

As a research assistant at MTRL, Sivan is currently part of a team working on projects concerning architectural-scale 3D printing, where he designs and models methods of incorporating modern building systems into 3D-printed walls.
